Theft leads to Warrant

On September 28, Deputy Rusty Ford took a theft report from Chris Brandon who lives at 313 East First street in Calico Rock. Brandon was remodeling a house and had his tools in a shed behind the residence. Brandon advised he was at the residence at around 12:30 pm and left. He returned to the residence around 4:30 pm and noticed that the shed door was open and tools had been removed. A check was made at the Garden street pawn shop and tools were found that belonged to Brandon. It was determined that Kevin Michael Brown age 43 had pawned the tools. Brown was interviewed by Sgt. Gabe Sanders and Deputy Geoffrey Watts, Brown confessed to stealing the tools. More tools were located behind Tammy Robinson's residence on First Street. A warrant has been issued for Brown for Residential Burglary a class “B” felony and Theft of  Property a class “A” misdemeanor.
