Steven D. Hood, Jr., age 23 of Melbourne was formally charged with multiple felony drug offenses following his arrest July 18. Hood was charged with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a class “c” felony; possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, also a class “c” felony; and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, a class “y” felony. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said the charges stem from a July 17 traffic stop in which Hood was a passenger. Hood posted bond in the amount of $10,000 and is scheduled to appear in Izard County Circuit Court.
A Violet Hill man was arrested July 21 on a warrant accusing him of harassment-two courts. Rickey George’s arrest stems from him making numerous harassing calls to various county offices during the previous several days. The charges are class “a” misdemeanors each punishable by a fine of $2,500 and one year in the count jail. George was released on bond a given an Izard County District Court date.
Shannon Marie Malone, age 26 of Bon Ton in Melbourne was arrest early Sunday morning following a traffic stop in which she was a passenger on charges of public intoxication, resisting arrest, and obstructing governmental operations. Upon being place in jail, reports indicate Malone was too intoxicated to participate in her booking process. Malone was later released after posting bond in the amount of $2,415. The driver of the vehicle in which Malone was a passenger, Patrick Russell McNealy, age 20 of Guion was arrested for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. McNealy posted bond in the amount of $180 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Jeffery Chase Moser, age 21 of Melbourne was arrested Saturday on a department of correction absconder warrant. Moser remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on a department of correction hold.
Scott Rayburn Galloway, age 26 of Melbourne was arrested July 20 on a failure to appear warrant and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on a department of correction hold.
Andrea D. Neevel, age 31 of Melbourne was arrested July 22 on a failure to pay warrant. Neevel posted bond in the amount of $200 cash and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Stephen Dale Falk, age 20 of Brockwell was arrested July 22 on a failure to pay fines warrant. Falk remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu a $995 cash bond.
Bradford Edward Freeman, age 35 of Batesville was arrested July 20 for failure to pay fines. Freeman was released from the Izard County Detention Facility after posting a $495 cash bond.
