The Izard County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call Wednesday morning stating that Jessica Cooper had been shot or had shot herself. Cooper was transported from her residence on county road 61 to the Baxter Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said the case remains under investigation by the sheriff’s department and the Arkansas State Police.
In unrelated matters, Leshay Ann Haynes, age 18 of Mountain View was arrested Friday afternoon on charges to include that of possessing a controlled substance and operating a vehicle without insurance. Haynes posted bond the same day in the amount of $1,690 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Timothy Lee Allen, age 44 of Calico Rock was arrested Thursday morning on the charge of driving while intoxicated. Allen posted a cash bond that afternoon and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Carol Ann Bell, age 53 of Guion was arrested at the Izard County Sheriff Department on Thursday and charged with public intoxicating. Bell was released that afternoon and given a court appearance date.
A Mountain View man, 49 year old Anthony Noel Haynes was arrested Friday on charges of driving on a suspended license, false title/registration, and operating vehicle without insurance. Haynes later posted bond in the amount of $1,690 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Shortly after midnight Saturday, Donald David Todd, age 28 of Franklin was arrested on charges of terrorist threatening second degree and domestic battering third degree. Todd remains in the Izard County Detention pending an appearance before District Judge David Miller.
Marty Bret Hawkins, age 39 of Sidney was arrested Thursday on a warrant charging him with battery third degree. Hawkins was released with a court date the following day.
Chad Everett Petree, age 37 of Quail Run Apartments was arrested Saturday on the charge of harassment. Petree remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $1,000 bond
Jeremy David Wray, age 32 of Salem was arrested Wednesday on multiple warrants in Fulton County, Izard County, and Horseshoe Bend. Wray remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.
A Floral man, 20 year old John Lyle Harris was arrested May 17 on a failure to pay fines warrant. Harris posted bond in the amount of $410 and was released.
Michael Allen Pruett, age 35 of Ash Flat was transported Wednesday to the Arkansas Department of Correction.
