A disturbance a residence on School Street in Melbourne around 1:00 a.m. Saturday morning resulted in the arrest of two females. Kagni Gillihan, age 24 of Melbourne and Terry Sweeney, age 27 also of Melbourne arrived at the home of Sweeney’s ex-husband in the wee hours of morning following a night of drinking. Both females were taken to the Izard County Detention Facility where Sweeney was booked in on charges of criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, and two counts of resisting arrest. Gillihan was charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and obstructing governmental operations. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that both bonded out of jail later Saturday morning. Sweeney’s bond was $3,020 and Gillihan’s bond was $1,515. Both were given a court date in Izard County District Court.
Following a Thursday morning incident at Calico Rock, Michael Robert Benert II, age 20 of Pineville was arrested and charged with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. Benert was later transferred to an addiction treatment facility.
Robert Allen Fuford, age 40 of Berryville was arrested Thursday on a failure to pay fines warrant and is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of bond in the amount of $2,322.
A Mountain Home man, Jason Charles Anthony, age 30 is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility on a criminal investigation hold following his being found in an outbuilding of residence in Calico Rock. Sheriff Lawrence said felony charges are pending.
Cody Deal Freeman, age 52 of Perry was arrested Saturday on a Faulkner County warrant. Freeman remains in the Izard County Detention Facility pending bond in the amount of $775 or transfer to Faulkner County
A convicted felon awaiting bed space at the Arkansas Department of Correction was booked into the Izard County Detention Facility. Booked March 15 was John Allen Carson, age 53 of Salem. Sheriff Lawrence said that Carson was sentenced in Fulton County.
