DOMESTICS AND ALCOHOL TOP ARRESTS



A response Thursday afternoon to a residence in Pineville resulted in the arrest of Micah John Tunicliff on the charge of domestic battering third degree. The eighteen year old Pineville man remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

A 911 call Saturday morning to a residence on Knob Creek Road in Melbourne regarding a domestic situation led to the arrest of Carl G. Cooper of that address. Cooper, age 73 was charged with domestic battering third degree, issued a no contact order, and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility with a court date.

Jeremy John Hands, age 36 of Calico Rock was arrested Friday after fleeing from deputies. Hands was charged with fleeing, driving on a suspended license, operating a vehicle without insurance, operating a vehicle without license plates, having no insurance, and operating an unsafe vehicle. Hands remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a $2,325 and a department of correction hold. Hands was charged with similar offenses New Year’s Eve.

Jerry Lynn Bierman, age 62 of Oxford was arrested January 19 on charges of careless driving and driving while intoxicated. Bierman appeared before Judge David Miller, given a court date, and released.

Daniel Wayne Dwight, age 20 of Calico Rock was arrested January 20 on theft of receiving charge relating to an all terrain vehicle. Dwight’s probation was revoked from a previous offense by Judge David Miller and order to serve the remainder of his suspended sentence amounting to 154 days. Dwight remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.

Jordon Meadows, age 18 of Calico Rock was found to be in contempt of court on January 21 as the result of appearing in court and testing positive for marijuana. Meadows was also found to have violated his terms of probation. Meadows remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of a cash bond in the amount of $3,310.

Shane Anthony Taylor, age 27 of Violet Hill was arrested Saturday morning in response to a compliant by a female stating that Taylor would not let her leave. Taylor was charged with disorderly conduct. Taylor later posted bond and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility. Additional charges against Taylor are pending.

David Edward Hulsey, age 29 of Oxford was arrested January 19 on the charge of public intoxication. Hulsey was released January 21 and given a court date.

Two inmates were transported to the Arkansas Department of Correction to serve time. Lisa Faye Dixon, age 43 of Salem was transported January 21 and David M. Dickson, age 29 of Steinhatchee, FL was transported January 23.
