Jimmy Ray Lewis, age 27 of Batesville was arrested Sunday on residential burglary and theft of property warrants. The charges stem from a burglary and theft at the Scott Wolford residence in Franklin around Christmas Eve. Sheriff Tate Lawrence said that some of the items, including guns, have been recovered. The investigation continues regarding the items yet not recovered. Lewis remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $25,000 bond.
Jason Cox, age 36 of Batesville was arrested January 22 on the charge of possessing a controlled substance. Cox posted bond the following day in the amount of $1,105 and was released from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Montgomery Alexander Rice, age 24 of Brockwell was arrested Sunday on a parole/probation revocation relating to a previous forgery charge and conviction. Rice remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on a no-bond status.
Izard deputies responded Thursday afternoon to a Melbourne apartment complex on Moser Street regarding a call from a male stating that Latina Kurtley had cut his throat. When deputies arrived they observed a male, later identified as Ed Nichols holding a towel around his neck. Nichols advised that Kurtley, age 39 who lives in an adjacent apartment had come to his apartment to watch a movie and to rub lotion on his back. According to Nichols, while Kurtley was dong so, she cut his throat with a knife and ran out the door. Kurtley was charged with assault first degree. The cut ended up being only a skin surface cut. Kurtley remains in the Izard County Detention Facility pending an appearance before a judge.
Dustin Michael Baird, age 25 of Melbourne was arrested Friday on a probation/ parole violation and remains in the Izard County Detention Facility.
Jamie Clayton Stapleton, age 33 of Calico Rock was arrested Friday on charges of careless and prohibited driving. Stapleton posted bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $205.
Carlos Alverez Molina, age 27 of Melbourne was arrested Saturday for driving without a driver’s license. Molina posted bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $355 and was released with a court date from the Izard County
Ezequiel Dominguez, age 24 of Melbourne was arrested January 22 for driving without a driver’s license. Dominguez posted bond the day of his arrest in the amount of $355 and released from the Izard County Detention Facility with a court date..
Jamie Nicole Loosey, age 25 of Calico Rock was arrested Friday on a probation/parole violation. Loosey remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on a no-bond status.
Several people were arrested on failure to pay fines warrants. Timothy Lee Stetka, age 21 of Pineville was arrested January 23 and released the same day after posting a $365 bond. Wade Sanders, age 52 of Dolph was arrested January 23 and released the same day after posting bond in the amount of $300. Sherman Gayle Horner, age 51 of Horseshoe Bend was arrested January 24 and released the following day after posting a $605 bond. Jeremy Lewis Gross, age 38 was arrested January 23, appeared in court on failure for failure to pay and served the weekend on a jail commitment stemming from his original arrest.
Benjamin J. Hinds, age 30 of Oxford was arrested Thursday on two warrants, a failure to pay and a failure to appear. Hinds remains in the Izard County Detention Facility in lieu of $2,065 bond.
