A Melbourne man was arrested late Saturday night in Brockwell after the Izard County Sheriff’s Department received a compliant that male had been observed inside a Brockwell residence. Tyrstin Robert Howell, age 19 is being held in the Izard County Detention Facility on an investigative hold pending charges of breaking and entering, and possibly other charges.
Following a traffic stop Thursday, Joshua Kyle Light, age 19 of Melbourne was arrested on charges of possessing a controlled substance and possessing an instrument of crime. Light posted bond the following day in the amount of $2,335 and was released with a court date from the Izard County Detention Facility.
Jamie Clayton Stapleton, age 31 of Calico Rock was arrested October 4 on a warrant from Cleburne County. Stapleton was released to Cleburne County authorities.
Christopher D. Stone, age 34 of Violet Hill was arrested Friday on a failure to pay warrant. Stone posted bond the day of his arrest and given a court date.
Two males juveniles were cited Saturday for breaking and entering a vehicle parked at a restaurant in Calico Rock. The juveniles, ages 11 and 12 from Calico Rock were charged with taking an ipod and a mb3 player from a vehicle owned by an employee of the restaurant. The juveniles are scheduled to appear in juvenile court.
Four Izard County inmates were transferred Monday to the Arkansas Department of Correction to serve their sentences. The four include Terry William Stacy, age 42 of Mountain Home; J.D. Comstock, age 25 of Viola; Nathaniel Andrew Reddin, age 19 of Pineville; and Ray Lester Pifer, age 49 of Wiggins, Mississippi.
