New Years Eve ends a busy year for the Sheriff's Office. During 2023, dispatch received 5016 calls for service. Deputies completed 1090 incident reports and 238 motor vehicle accident reports. 118 felony cases were filed with the Izard County Circuit Clerks Office. Deputies also served 605 civil papers. Jail staff booked a total of 609 inmates with a daily average, over the year, of 42 inmates. The administrative staff collected $53,357.89 in Circuit Court ordered restitution that was returned to the victims.

We appreciate all the support each of you have given the Sheriff's Office this past year. Community support and community policing is key for a small law enforcement office to be successful. We will continue work everyday to find ways to improve our service to the County.
