CAELAN HAWK TOMMY FRANKS CODY CURTIS

According to Chief Deputy Charley Melton, on August 15, Caelan Hawk, age 22 of Franklin was arrested for aggravated assault; a class "D" felony, terroristic threatening 1st degree; a class "D" felony, possession of drug paraphernalia; a class "D" felony, and domestic battery 3rd degree. The charges stem from a report that deputies took on an incident that occurred on Old Larkin Road outside of Melbourne. During the course of the investigation, deputies were told that Hawk and the female victim had been arguing all day and that he had punched her in the face, pulled her to the ground, and put his hands around her throat. The victim was able to get away. As she was leaving the area she heard Hawk fire a gun. Hawk appeared in the Izard County Circuit Court on August 18.  

In the early morning hours of August 18, Deputy Adam Zitzelberger was patrolling Rand City Park in Calico Rock. While patrolling the park, Zitzelberger came across a vehicle that was parked with a male inside, that was later identified as Tommy Franks, age 55 of Calico Rock. It was learned that Franks was on probation with the Arkansas Community Corrections. Franks also had a search waiver. During a search of Franks person and his vehicle, Zitzelberger located a small amount of methamphetamine. As a result, Franks was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a class "D" felony. He was served a petition to revoke his felony probation. He is scheduled to appear in the Izard County Circuit Court on September 16.  

On August 21, Cody Curtis, age 29 of Mount Pleasant, was arrested by Deputy Rusty Ford for shoplifting. He was also served with a warrant for breaking or entering; a class "D" felony, and criminal mischief; a class "A" misdemeanor, from an incident that was reported on August 20. Deputy Tyler Webb took a report from a complainant that stated Curtis had been inquiring about a camper that the complainant owned. Curtis had been told repeatedly the camper was not for sale. He later sent the complainant a message on social media saying that he "helped her out" by emptying some things out of it for her and that he gained entry by pulling on the door. He also stated that in its current condition it was only worth $100 to $150. Curtis is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on September 3 on the shoplifting charge and in the Izard County Circuit Court on September 16 for the other charges. Curtis is also under supervision of the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections and on probation whom have placed a hold on him. 

On August 9, Barry Trahan, age 56 of Calico Rock, was arrested by Deputy Sean Tomlinson for three counts of domestic battery 3rd degree. Trahan is scheduled to be in the Izard County District Court on September 8. 

On August 11, Michael Ball, age 50 of Strong, Arkansas, was arrested by Deputy Sean Tomlinson on a warrant out of Louisiana for felony possession of a controlled substance. Ball was extradited by Louisiana authorities back to Louisiana.  

On August 11, Adam Durham, age 38 of Bono, was arrested by Trooper Lively for fictitious license plate, no insurance, DWI 2, no license plate, refusal to submit to a chemical test, violation of interlock device, and open container. Durham is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on September 17. 

On August 12, Mason Grant, age 31 of Paragould, was arrested by Deputy Toby Smith for probation/parole violations.  

On August 12, Simon Ducker, age 41 of Calico Rock, was arrested by Deputy Adam Zitzelberger for criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and resisting arrest. Ducker is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on September 17. 

On August 19, Johnny Cox, age 43 of Melbourne, was arrested by Sgt. Mike Smith on a warrant out of the Izard County District Court for theft of property. Cox was also charged with no driver's license and no insurance. He appeared in the Izard County District Court on August 20. 

On August 20, Paul Slade, age 68 of Sidney, was arrested by Deputy Rusty Ford on multiple warrants for permitting livestock to run at large. Slade is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on September 3. 

On August 20, Codi Stanton, age 27 of Horseshoe Bend, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on previous charges of theft. Stanton is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on September 3.  

On August 21, Jack Knight, age 58 of Brockwell, was arrested by Sgt. Steve Davidson for public intoxication. Knight is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on September 17. 

On August 21, Jesse May, age 37 of Pineville, was arrested by Deputy Sean Tomlinson for DWI and having an ATV on the highway. May is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on September 17.
