According to Chief Deputy Charley Melton, on August 12 at approximately 2:45 p.m. the Sheriff's Department was notified of a body on the power line right of way near the sewer treatment plant off North Bend Drive in Horseshoe Bend. Upon arrival by deputies they located the body of a male that appeared to have been deceased for several days. The body is being sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for identification and cause of death. It is an open investigation however; initial indications are that foul play was not involved.
