MISSION STATEMENT
The Izard County Sheriff’s Department is a service organization dedicated to serving the citizens of Izard County. The department primary mission is to sustain and enhance the quality of life within the communities we serve by maintaining peace and order; and protecting life, limb, and property. We will do this by helping people and providing assistance at every available opportunity. We will enlighten citizens about issues and gain community support in suppression of criminal activity. We will be pro-active in aggressively responding to illegal drug activity, domestic abuse, property crimes and other criminal activity within our communities. Our approach to illegal drug activity is that of ZERO TOLERANCE. Our goal is that Izard County be a great place to live, work and raise a family.
